st.kevin's bed
On Glendalough's Upper lakeshore to the South, about 10 meters above the water, lies 'St. Kevin's bed. The cave is approximately 2 meters long and 1.5 meters high and was used by St. kevin and possibly late, by St. Laurence O'Toole as a hermit's cave. Although much used by monks. it is thought that the cave was excavated much earlier by Bronze Age people and may have been used as a buriel tomb. Access to Saint Kevin's Bed is dangerous sue to steep cliffs, but may be viewed from the Miner's path road.
